Save the Cinema is an uplifting comedy-drama directed by Sara Sugarman, based on the remarkable true story of a community determined to preserve a beloved cultural landmark.

Set in Carmarthen, Wales, in 1993, the film follows Liz Evans, a passionate hairdresser and youth theatre leader who launches a campaign to save the town's historic Lyric Cinema from closure. Facing financial pressures and local scepticism, Liz and her supporters embark on an ambitious mission that ultimately attracts the attention of Hollywood and filmmaker Steven Spielberg, bringing hope to a community united by its love of cinema.

Starring Samantha Morton, Jonathan Pryce, Tom Felton, Adeel Akhtar and Susan Wokoma, Save the Cinema is a warm, inspiring celebration of community spirit, determination and the enduring power of film to bring people together. Production design by Jonathan Houlding.
